The Canadian borders were effectively open to tourist from September 7, 2021. This is contingent on travellers having completed the full course of vaccination with an approved vaccine. Vaccination must be completed within a 14 days advance prior to coming to Canada.
Tourists must have taken full shots of one Canada’s approved vaccines. Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca are the approved vaccines needing two doses. One dose of the Janssen vaccine will also suffice for travellers. Other vaccines are currently not eligible.
