President Buhari formally launches job fellowship for 20,000 Nigerian graduates

Nigerian President, President Muhammadu Buhari has officially launched the Nigeria Jubilee Fellow Programme (NJFP) on Tuesday 31st August, 2021;. The programme, which is in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Is a fully paid post-NYSC work placement for Nigerians

The President announced the launch on his verified Facebook page. The NJFP is a youth empowerment partnership initiative between the UNDP and the Federal Government of Nigeria. The initiative seeks to connect talented Nigerian graduates with local job opportunities consistent with their qualifications while equipping them with world class practical knowledge and relevant skills.

The programme targets the creation of work placement opportunities for 20,000 graduates on a yearly basis. The maximum period of engagement is 12 months

Speaking on his Facebook page President Buhari said, “I will encourage all eligible Nigerians to apply for this programme. I also urge private sector organisastions in Nigeria to join us on this programme to provide work placement opportunities, mentors and funding to support the programme. I would like to say thank you to the United Nations Development Programme and the European Union for their support on this vital initiative. ThIS Programme is hereby formally launched. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
