The Government of Australia has announced the implementation of measures to revitalize the International education sector with over $37 million pumped in for providers most affected by the pandemic as well as an extension on some post study work rights.
A report has also recommended the introduction of three year graduate visas to cushion the effect of skills shortage in the Island nation.
There is also a plan in place to allow holders of Temporary Graduate Visas who have been unable to travel to Australia to apply for replacements.
Vocational Education and Training Sector graduates will also be eligible for a two year Temporary Graduate Visa under the new measures.
Alan Tudge, the minister for Education and Youth, stated that these measures would enable an accelerated return of International students as well as the provision of incentives for institutions and students.
