Over 4,000 applicants for the Ajulopin Digital Empowerment Programme (ADEP) including Msc and PhD holders

The second edition of the Ajuloopin Digital Empowerment Programme (ADEP) had over 4,604 applicants. There were at least three PhD and 30 Masters degree holders among the applicants.

The programme is in its second edition and was initiated by Tunji Olawuyi, a member of the Nigeria House of Representatives. The lawmaker of the lower chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly, is a representative of a Federal constituency in Kwara State of Nigeria.

Over 200 are reported to have been empowered by Hon Tunji in Digital Training and Mini importation. Laptops and tablets have also been distributed to beneficiaries.

This edition saw 902 Bachelo degree holding applicants, 988 Higher National Diploma (HND) holders, 441 Ordinary National Diploma (OND) holders, 853 National Certificate of Education (NCE) holders as well as 873 Senior School Certificate Holders (SSCE). Over 500 were with unspecified academic qualifications.

Around 2,830 of the applicants were unemployed.

500 applicants are scheduled to be shortlisted for a physical interview after which 350 successful candidates will be selected.
