The attention of Nigerians has been drawn to a scam that mendaciously promises to facilitate admission into Ivy League colleges in the US.
The “EducationUSA Ivy League Programme’’ is used by scammers to extract payments from unsuspecting clients under the guise of enabling admission to Ivy League schools.
The actual EducationUSA service is FREE to aspiring students and as such no fee is to be paid by admission seekers.
The introductory message of the statement by the US Mission reads:
“The US Mission to Nigeria warns the Nigerian public about scammers using the EducationUSA name to extract payment for placement into Ivy League colleges through the ‘EducationUSA Ivy League Programme’. All these messages are FAKE!’’
