Nigerian Government Scraps PCR Test for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced a roll back on pandemic related protocols at ports of entry.

Fully vaccinated inbound travellers into Nigeria will no longer be madated to undertake pre-departure PCR tests.

Travellers will however be mandated to undergo Rapid Antigen tests on arrival. These tests will take place at the airport halls without charge.

This follows a series of complaints by travellers over the cost implications of the PCR tests.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated inbound travellers will still be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test 48 hours prior to departure or undertake a Day 2 and Day 7 test on arrival. The costs will be covered by the travellers.
